Welcome to our first ever BANJONESS at the Ness Creek Site, SK on September 11-12, 2021! We are so excited about our banjo getaway in the Boreal! Whether you are a beginner, an experienced player or maybe a Scruggs-style player who is interested in crossing over to Clawhammer, we have a spot for you! We are offering two classes. One for beginner, taught by Ameena Bajer-Koulack, and one for intermediate/advanced, taught by Daniel Koulack.
Tuition is $230 and includes 6 hours of lessons over two days, a special workshop, a concert, continental breakfasts and paper bag lunches for Saturday and Sunday and an optional potluck for Saturday night.
Classes are done early on Sunday so you can make it home in time for dinner!
Classes will be held in the cozy Ness Creek Studio, surrounded by gorgeous Boreal forest, 2 and a half hours north of Saskatoon. It is a 15-20 min walk from the main site, over a picturesque creek and through the forest to the studio. Be prepared for the walk. If assistance is needed let us know as we can arrange a ride over. Please also pack a head lamp or flashlight for getting back to the main site after the evening concert. There is an outhouse at the studio with hand sanitizer.
On the main site there is a shared shower house with flush toilets and loonie operated showers. There is also a Cantina available with a full kitchen and potable water.
On site non-powered camping is $10/night. On site powered camping is $25/night.
Cabins are available to book. To book a cabin or learn more about the site and their Covid-19 policies, please visit The Ness Creek website
